Rules, format and schedule unveiled with Adey and Kirkham to referee

The rules and format for tomorrow’s SL45 All-Stars tournament have been unveiled, while we are excited to announce that Paul Adey and Simon Kirkham will officiate the matches.

Adey’s #22 shirt, of course, was retired by the club as a player after a glittering career and he also returned to coach Panthers, which resulted in the memorable overtime Challenge Cup final success in Sheffield in 2003-04.

Kirkham is a former Superleague and Elite League referee, has been referee-in-chief for the Elite League and Ice Hockey UK, while he has also officiated for the IIHF. He is now a supervisor for the IIHF.

Steve Lee said: “I am grateful that Paul and Simon have given up their time to officiate in the tournament.

“I am sure fans are looking forward to seeing them out on the ice tomorrow.”
