Continental Cup winner Nikiforuk back for testimonial

Former Nottingham Panthers forward Alex Nikiforuk will be part of next week’s Steve Lee testimonial night at the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham.

Nikiforuk, who helped Panthers win the Continental Cup in 2016-17, now plays for Coventry Blaze, but will return for the night to take part in the SL45 All-Stars tournament on Tuesday 30th October (7:30pm).

The unique night will see current and past Panthers players split into four teams, with an NHL-style draft being unveiled the night before at the testimonial dinner at Alea Casino.

Lee said: “I am really pleased that Alex is coming back to take part in the testimonial night.

“He had a good year with us when we won the Continental Cup and it is great to see him back in the league with Coventry.

“I would like to thank the Blaze organisation for allowing Alex to take part in the game.”

Tickets for the SL45 All-Stars tournament are priced at £14 adults, £12 concession (seniors 60+, students with suitable ID, disabled/carers and teens 13 to 17) and £5 for children.

Under-2s are free of charge when not occupying a seat – a wristband will need to be requested from a steward on the day.

Tickets are now on general sale. To buy tickets please visit the Motorpoint Arena Box Office, purchase online at www.motorpointarenanottingham.com or call 0843 373 3000.
